WiseAnalytics is a boutique analyst firm that conducts research and provides consulting services to organizations.  Founded in October 2007, WiseAnalytics is a privately run organization that focuses on three areas:

  1. Consulting and advisory services to organizations looking to implement business intelligence solutions, including data warehousing, dashboards, and analytics
  2. Analyst services and marketing support to solution providers within the business intelligence and performance management space
  3. Market research to identify industry trends, adoption of technologies and solutions, and fit of vendor products within the market

Business Intelligence


The business intelligence industry is at a crossroads as there is an expansion of offerings to the small and mid-markets, an increase in SaaS and Web-based offerings, and the increasing use of analytics to help achieve BI to the masses. Within the next few years, the trend of acquisitions, the focus on Web-based BI, and the convergence of BI and performance management will shift the way business intelligence is used.

MDM


Managing an organization’s information through master data management initiatives enables organizations to create a singular view of customer, product, etc. Although each business unit sees the world differently, to provide customers with positive experiences, to develop effective sales and marketing initiatives, to increase process efficiencies, and to meet compliance requirements, organizations must manage their data. This includes the creation of a centralized access point, the attachment of data to business rules and how the data is indirectly attached to the bottom line.


Unstructured Data

Within BI, the concept of leveraging unstructured data to increase the value of analysis and decision making throughout the organization will continue to gain momentum. BI search is the stepping stone to organizations’ accessing and analyzing information outside of the realm of databases. However, unstructured data is broader than just search. The ability to gather and to analyze textual, audio, and visual based information from both inside and outside of the organization is what will drive an organization in the next few years to pull away from the pack, develop key competitive differentiators, and build strategy with a 360 degree view of the market.
